Universal Studios U.S. Super Nintendo World Opens February 17

You’ll be relieved to learn that Universal Studios Hollywood Super Nintendo World will open on February 17, 2023, if you’ve been looking forward to it.

This American version of Super Nintendo World is a standalone section within Universal Studios, much like the Super Nintendo World in Japan.

What’s New?

Given that The Super Mario Bros. Movie opens in theatres on April 7, 2023, the theme park’s debut at this time is not unexpected.

The major attraction is Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, an augmented reality (AR) experience that superimposes a digital experience over a real course, just like the Japanese version of the theme park.

What’s More?

When the park opens, sadly, this will be the only Super Nintendo World attraction offered. Yoshi’s Adventure ride is also available at the park’s Japanese location.

It is unknown whether this ride will also be available at Super Nintendo World in the United States.

Visitors to Universal Studios Hollywood’s Super Nintendo World can utilize a “Power-Up Band” to interact with actual question mark blocks and characters, just like in the park’s Japanese counterpart.

Additionally, there is the Toadstool Cafe, which sells dishes with a Mario theme, like as the “Piranha Plan Caprese” and the appropriately called “Mario Bacon Cheese Burger.”
