The newest business laptop improvements from Lenovo, unveiled on Wednesday at CES 2022, feature several redesigns of the ThinkBook and venerable ThinkPad X series.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 3, a newly redesigned 17-inch laptop with an additional 8-inch screen incorporated right into its frame, is a unique but possibly beneficial product.
Each new ThinkBook and ThinkPad represents a substantial advancement in technology and features.
According to Lenovo, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 stands out as the first 17-inch laptop with an integrated 8-inch, full-color secondary LCD situated to the right of the keyboard.
The ground-breaking notebook debuted in May and started at $1,399 and higher. Its main display has a vast 21:10 aspect ratio.
The touch-enabled secondary screen has a resolution of 800 by 1,200 pixels, while the primary display runs at 120Hz and has a resolution of 3,072 by 1,440 pixels.
The two screens are designed to cooperate. Use the smaller panel to access frequently used apps fast, mirror your smartphone, and display application tools.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 3 is Lenovo’s attempt to condense the contemporary convenience of a larger twin-screen desktop workstation into a small, transportable device.
The new ThinkBook has a 12th Generation Intel Core H-series processor inside, up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 2TB of storage.
Along with Windows 11 and 12th Generation Intel processors, the remainder of the ThinkBook range will also get an update.
An optional ThinkBook Wireless Multi-Device Charging Mat will be available for the revised ThinkBook 13x Gen 2, which will go on sale in April for $1,099, to enable speedy battery top-ups.
When they go on sale in April for $839 and $859, respectively, the ThinkBook 14 Gen 4 and new ThinkBook 16 Gen 4 will feature thinner designs, larger glass touchpads, and a 16:10 display ratio.
