Turtle Beach’s New Wireless Headset Is Compatible With Playstation, Xbox, And Other Devices

The Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max is a fresh new $129.99 wireless headset from Turtle Beach. It’s one of a few styles on the market that can operate with Xbox and a variety of other platforms.

What’s New?

You usually obtain compatibility with Xbox or other platforms such as PlayStation, PC, and the Nintendo Switch’s dock, but not all of them. The USB-A audio transmitter included with this headset contains a switch that can shift Wi-Fi modes, ensuring compatibility regardless of the system you’re using. It’s worth mentioning that Steel Series introduced a similar capability with their Arctis 1 Wireless headset in early 2020 (albeit with a nicer USB-C dongle), but finding a headset that can do this trick is still difficult.

Digging In More Details

Aside from this performance, the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max is identical to Turtle Beach’s previous mannequin, which was released in late 2020. It has a flip-to-mute microphone, a USB-C charging port, and two dials on the left ear cup’s rim — one for volume adjustment and the other for customizing the sport and chat sounds.

You’ll also find an energy button and a mode button next to these dials, the latter of which is used to change audio profiles, such as Turtle Beach’s “Superhuman Hearing” profile, which amplifies sounds like footfall to help you get the jump on opponents.

The dongle that comes with the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max is this one.

There are only a few more small changes to be aware of. Turtle Beach offers over 48 hours of battery life per cost for the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max, which comes in black, crimson, or white camo hues. That would be great if the headset’s performance matches the company’s claims.

Turtle Beach also unveiled the Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB, a $99.99 wireless headset that does not support Xbox. The company says that each cost will provide over 24 hours of battery life. (compared to the Stealth 600 Gen 2’s 15-hour guarantee). Aside from these differences, it’s the same as the Max and the previous Stealth 600 Gen 2 mannequin.

Both headsets will be available for preorder on April 3rd, 2022, with a May release date anticipated by Turtle Beach.
