Snapchat publishers will be able to create posts automatically based on stories shared on the platform thanks to a new feature from Snap.
According to Axios, around 40 publishers from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and India will begin using Dynamic Stories to automatically send exposed content to Snapchat.
Dynamic Stories uses an RSS feed from a writer to create posts that appear directly on a newsroom’s Snapchat Stories. CNN, ESPN, The Washington Post, British Vogue, and others were among the first partners.
“We’ve built an easy approach for our partners to create daily content and drastically cut expenses by connecting publishing on Snapchat into their existing workflow,” Snap states in a release.
“This new format will also enhance our ongoing efforts to deliver local content to our community around the world,” says the company.
The company claims that the new feature would make it easier for Snapchat users to keep up with breaking news from reliable sources as it is reported.
Publisher-created Dynamic Stories appear on a Snapchat user’s Discover feed and update in real time when new information becomes available.
Users can tap on a writer’s Stories to read a headline and swipe as far as they like to read the entire story. Snap claims that only verified authors and creators appear on the Discover page.
