PS5 Captures That Are Automatically Uploaded Are Coming To The United States

Following a sneak peek in January, Sony is expanding its ability to have your PS5 images. Videos auto-uploaded to the PlayStation mobile app to more countries. In October, Sony began testing the feature in Canada and Japan.

The wider deployment, which Sony emphasizes would be gradual, will start with the Americas, according to the company. On a support page, Sony listed Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the United States, and Uruguay as “supported nations.” According to a tweet from the business, the feature will be available in more international areas “next month,”.

If you enable this feature, media captured on your PS5 will be automatically transferred to the cloud and displayed in the app. (You’ll need the latest version of the PlayStation app for iOS or Android, according to Sony.) The software allows you to save screenshots to your phone, share them with your PlayStation friends, and post them to social media.

The Official Twitter Account For PlayStation Says:

We’re gradually rolling out the ability to share your PS5 game captures through PS App in more regions! Americas are first up, with more countries next month. Details: http://play.st/3t1py3t

For the time being, the feature is staying with me in the United States. I took a screenshot in Horizon Forbidden West, and it appeared within the app a few moments later. As far as I can tell, everything functions the same way it did when it was temporarily enabled for me in January. Taking screenshots with your PS5 was previously a much more difficult task, therefore I’m overjoyed that this feature is finally being implemented.

According to a Sony FAQ, you will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to use the feature. Captures will be accessible on the app for 14 days following their capture on your PS5. Video clips with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a duration of up to three minutes will most likely be posted.
