Microsoft’s Xbox Elite 2 ‘Core’ Controller Costs $129.99

Microsoft’s new Xbox Elite 2 Core controller costs $50 less than the current model. Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core is available for presale today for $129.99, however, it doesn’t have interchangeable components.

What’s New?

The Xbox Elite 2 Core has adjustable-tension thumbsticks, a rubberized grip, and shorter hair trigger locks. It’s also white.

It’s the same white controller seen in a leaked video last month and is a cheaper Xbox Elite 2 controller.

This new Xbox Elite 2 Core has no carrying case. You must buy a $59.99 “Complete Component Pack” for the rear paddles, thumbsticks, and carrying case.

Both controllers come with a one-year guarantee and cost $179.99. After both the original and Xbox Elite 2 controllers had problems, Microsoft extended the warranty to a year.

Digging Into More Details

Microsoft’s warranty extension applied retrospectively to Xbox Elite 2 owners with stuck buttons or stick drift.

Daniel Ruiz, senior marketing manager for Xbox accessories, said the company listened to players and made Elite Series 2 controllers more reliable and durable.

Microsoft’s 1-year warranty covers Elite Series 2 controllers. Microsoft’s online store is already taking preorders for the $129.99 white Xbox Elite 2 Core controller, which ships on September 21.
