Your favorite brick-building firm, LEGO, has created some iconic theme sets that are bigger than ever to mark its 90th year. We’re talking about a massive 4,514-piece mediaeval castle as well as a recreation of the original Galaxy Explorer spacecraft from 1979.
Both of the brand-new LEGO sets target nostalgia and feature gorgeous designs that fans will like. They will undoubtedly be a hit on your LEGO shelves and are a part of the well-known LEGO Icons range. The Galaxy Explorer remake will be discussed first, and then we’ll go over some information on the Lion Knights’ Castle.
The Galaxy Explorer spacecraft comes first, and it goes without saying that this is a popular favourite. The legendary Galaxy Explorer set from 1979 has returned and has never been bigger. It measures 20.5 inches long, 12.5 inches broad, and around 5 inches tall, making it almost twice as big as the original. That is the ideal size for my display case, I don’t know about you.
As anticipated, the new LEGO Galaxy Explorer includes the 4-wheeled assistance rover, four astronaut mini-figures, and a ton of other collective parts. Each astronaut can fit within the cockpit of the spacecraft, or you can take one to the back and find a toolbox there.
In addition to the four seats for the four astronauts, the complete crew also has living space with two mattresses, a computer, storage bins, and other amenities. They will undoubtedly need to sleep while travelling through space. The ship has opening doors, a rear hatch, a retractable ramp for the rover, and more, just like other recent LEGO kits. It also has three retractable landing legs.

Castle projects are among the best and most fulfilling, as any LEGO enthusiast knows. Sadly, LEGO hasn’t recently offered a spectacular castle set, but that’s going to change. The brand-new LEGO Lion Knights’ Castle has 4,514 pieces and combines several of the old-school castle motifs that we all grew up with.
You’ll spend hours building this enormous castle, which was influenced by older models, and you’ll also get to play with 22 Minifigures.
A king, queen, wizard, archers, castle occupants, and a large number of miniature figures are included. These figures can be placed everywhere throughout the castle, such as in the marketplace.
Like any good mediaeval castle, this one has special corridors hidden below trapdoors, dungeons for the town drunk, and other hidden areas that you’ll discover as you construct it. We especially appreciate how LEGO included moving drawbridges, portcullises, mill waterwheels, and other elements in the castle model.
In order to keep everyone safe, raise the drawbridge, let the horses and Ox in, and place archers on each pillar. When closed, this elaborate new castle is almost 14 inches high, 17 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. When everything is opened, it is even larger.
