The Wu-Tang Clan is heading to Fortnite with a new apparel collection. It may not be a sequel to Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style, but it’s something. Instead of the iconic members of the hip-hop supergroup appearing in the game, gamers will be able to purchase Wu-Wear items in the Fortnite item shop beginning April 23rd at 8 p.m. ET.
Two distinct clothes will be offered, as well as Wu-Tang accessories such as reactive backpacks and, of course, Wu-Tang hands emote.
From a crossover with Coachella to in-game performances from Ariana Grande and Travis Scott, music has progressively infiltrated Fortnite’s battle royale in various ways.
Meanwhile, real-life superstars continue to be added to the game’s large cast of characters, most recently snowboarder Chloe Kim and tennis player Naomi Osaka. Wu-Wear joins the ranks of renowned fashion houses such as Balenciaga.
“Fortnite has been in my household for years,” Wu member RZA said in a statement. It’s been fascinating to watch the game develop and become the go-to leisure.
