Crunchyroll Now Has A Switch App, While Netflix Does Not

Crunchyroll has arrived for the Nintendo Switch just in time for those of you eager to binge-watch the entire second season of Demon Slayer.

Crunchyroll is now available to download for free from the Transfer eShop. You can watch anime in docked, tabletop, or handheld mode on your Transfer, and premium customers can view presentations offline, making it ideal for long flights. With any luck, it will be a far superior experience than the Crunchyroll app for various devices. The Apple TV model is particularly difficult to use.

Despite the addition of Crunchyroll, the Transfer still offers a limited number of streaming services and products. Until now, the platform has lagged behind PlayStation and Xbox in terms of content, with only Hulu, YouTube, Twitch, and Niconico available in Japan.
There’s still no word on when Netflix will be added to the Transfer in any scenario. Nintendo has previously stated that it is open to introducing the streaming service to the system, but this has yet to happen. For the time being, transfer customers can have the power of god and anime on their side thanks to the roguelike Hades and the integration of Crunchyroll.
